About me

Caroline lives in Cork with two demanding sausage dogs, Jolene and Sigrit, who are the most joyful cartoon menaces.

Caroline’s current work includes being a contributor for RTE Lifestyle, writing a weekly relationship column for Weekend Magazine at the Irish Independent, and being Sexual Violence Manager at a third-level university. She has written her first book, Wrong Women, and is currently working on the next three books clamouring to get out of her brain and on to the page.

She is also neurodivergent and a survivor of sexual and domestic violence. Her life's work has been to build a safer world for all, and to make sure that sexual and domestic violence is stamped out.

Work Experience

She started volunteering at age 16 with older people through ALONE, and continued to work in social care. Since then, she has worked in residential children’s homes, homeless shelters for adults and children, domestic violence refuges, and consent education in third-level. She has also been a sexpert for evoke.ie, Bumble’s Sex and Relationship expert for the UK and Ireland, and worked as an independent sex educator with adults.

Academia

Academically, she has lectured at Dublin City University, University of Galway, International Business School, Open College, Institute of Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy, as well as presenting and guest lecturing at conferences in Ireland, Thailand, Germany, and Los Angeles.
